Excessive calendar event reminders

For any given calendar event, I get multiple reminder notifications on the epix even though I only have one notification reminder set on my phone - I’m talking probably 5ish for every event.

I don’t sync my calendar to GCM. This is just the watch giving me notifications from my phone.

Anyone else experiencing this and/or know how to fix?

what phone platform? iOS? And it's your contention, that...what? Your watch is creating multiple calendar event reminders, somehow, on its own, or...what? Is that what you're saying? Just checking before suggesting a possible path of investigation....

I'd be willing to bet you have multiple calendars active on your phone (even though you may know it offhand). Do this - open the Calendar app on your iPhone, then tap down in the center bottom where it says 'Calendars' - see how many you have there, and if any of them look perhaps familiar for any of the ghost notifications you're getting from the phone. I'd bet you have more there than you think. Uncheck all but one or two and see if that makes any difference. It may not, but - worth a check.

I definitely know I have multiple calendars but the events are not repeated across calendars - so even when there’s only one event, there seem to be multiple reminder notifications on the watch even though the phone only shows a notification only once (which is the way the event is configured - I don’t even know if it’s possible to configure calendar events to have repeated reminder alerts)

Same problem here. It’s annoying. I don’t now how to fix it. I have ended up just turning off all notifications on my Epix. I also have the latest version of IOS.
