Here is another feature that worked perfectly with my previous watch (huawei gt 2), but turns into some complete mess with epix.
I live in Astana - it's almost completely flat.
I've recorded a couple of outside running activities with start and finish in the same place, no hills, max 2-3 meters height difference. And here are the readings I've got:
The same pattern. Start at the same point - but after that some ridiculous descent. You can see the weather conditions on the Screenshots. My only idea it has to do something with the temperature and watches getting colder.
I've seen a thread with an advice to put a watch outside for some time to get correct reading - and the only comment I have is face-palming.
Settings were default with auto calibration and auto mode alti/baro.
I've tried using barometer only in hope that readings would be from GPS - but no - now my track is completely flat, meaning no altitude readings except at the starting point.
Please tell me there is a solution without having to throw you watches outside for a couple of hours.
It's beyond my understanding why gps can't be used for such obvious function in a situation where other sensors give you a complete mess...
