Hi Chris. As you stated in the thread you locked:
I misunderstood this issue yesterday. If Do Not Disturb is enabled, it will disable your vibration or tone but your smart notifications will still arrive if your watch is Bluetooth paired through your phone's Connect Mobile APP.
This doesn't make sense to me. In the "Do Not Disturb" menu in the iOS Garmin App (System / Do Not Disturb / Edit / Smart Notifications) you can toggle Smart Notifications under DND to "OFF," yet as we've described, notifications still arrive - just no vibrating. Isn't that "Alerts" (Same Menu)? If i toggle Smart Notifications "Off" under Notification & Alerts - all delivery is halted. Why are the two functions behaving differently?
If this is actually how it is supposed to work (and I don't understand honestly why this is how "Do Not Disturb" is intended to function) - would be it possible to make "Turn Off Smart Notifications" addressable via a Hot Keys? There are times where I don't want notifications to show up. If "Do Not Disturb" isn't intended to work that way (and again, the menu options clearly suggest otherwise) it would be great to able to turn off all notifications via Hot Key.
I am running 10.43 on iOS on an Epix 2
