11 days battery life

I bought an Epix a couple months ago and I've noticed that in gesture mode I'm only getting 11 days of battery life max from a full charge. Meaning the estimated battery life. The actually battery life is actually less.

I'm curious why I've seen others mention 16 days. Does anyone actually see 16d remaining after fully changing their Epix? If so, what settings could be causing mine to show 11d.

  • what settings are causing mine to show 11d

No idea? Perhaps tell the forum what they are and what 3rd party apps etc you might have installed rather than have members have a guessing competition.
For guidance perhaps read through one of the numerous other threads where battery consumption issues are discussed.

  • 11 days from day one, no 3rd party apps.

  • For example, after fully charging today. It’s the starting out at 11d that is questionable. Where are people seeing 16d?:

  • Do you have Pulse OX turned off?  I get 16 days with it turned off and I get an extra day, 17, if I turn off Bluetooth on the watch.

  • I have pretty much everything on except pulse ox. I use gesture and touch for general use and during activities.  I use multi band GPS for every GPS activity.  My brightness is set to the lowest setting. I don't listen to music or get notifications. The battery usually drops to +/-20% in about 6 days with +/-7 hours of GPS and +/-3 hrs of non GPS usage.  And I'm still on OS 8.37 LOL
  • Your comment was not helpful and you wrote it because you didn’t know. Anyone else who has had this issue knew straight away, and they were able to answer without the op reeling off all of the settings on their watch.

  • not necessarily I have seen posts where people aren't getting the battery life and their pluse ox was off and thus not causing the battery drain and expected reduction in days.

There are quite a few factors that can change your expected battery capacity, so while not as helpful as it could have been did have a point.

  • This is not about what battery life the watch is achieving. It’s about the projected battery life showing 11 days instead of 16 days. If a person buys a new Epix, doesn’t change any settings other than turning wrist gesture mode on and the always on display off, then when fully charged, if they flip back and forth between pulse ox on and off, they will see 16d, 11d, 16d, 11d …

I created this post specifically for what I’ve described above. The person who provided the correct answer was able to comprehend what they read and provided the correct answer.
