Does pulse ox barely work for you?

Anyone else notice if they have pulse ox on "all day" setting that it barely records? I used to have the instinct 2 and it worked great on all day, my epix not so much. Was just curious as I have found there are a lot of bugs around pulse ox in different places on the forum. Yes I know if I am moving too much it won't read but even sitting down reading a book it seems to have a hard time.

  • Weird as its the same sensor. Maybe different vesion of software its been more refined. the biggest issue with all day pulse ox (and why its use is limited in this mode) is that it cannot take a reading while there is movement as OHR devices on the wrist struggle as it is to provide semi-accruate readings, and in any movement and the readings just get worse. So suspect its likely that a more recent update has continued to refine this, or maybe the Instinct 2 being lighter has less movement on your wrist and thus has less instructions not to take a reading.

Tend to leave mine for just taking in bed (manual read) prior to getting up. As not doing altitude training etc don't really need pulse ox readings.
