yesterday new software appeared, this is my first Garmin watch, I thought I would be able to update the software right away, but it does not detect it in the watch, in the application, or when connected to garmin express. Can anyone tell me when or how long it takes for this update to be possible?

They're rolling it out slowly. They're at 10% right now. The full release might happen quickly, take time or the rollout could stop altogether if a serious bug were detected. You just have to wait it out…

To force a new software update to arrive quicker, directly plug your Epix 2 into your computer USB port and use Garmin Express. If your watch is within the release percentage, you will receive the update…

ok,and earlier updates were a matter of hours, days or weeks when I could install them? thanks for explaining how Garmin updates works, but I'm a bit impatient because this update fixes a lot of bugs in the previous firmware and I would like to update it already.

If you cannot wait, you could try signing up for the beta program. You should get 10.43b (same as the release version) immediately after syncing with Garmin Express.

I'd say big updates like this usually take a workweek or thereabouts.

Edit: Unless you bought a MARQ 2 apparently. Then it's released within a day.

To force a new software update to arrive quicker, directly plug your Epix 2 into your computer USB port and use Garmin Express. If your watch is within the release percentage, you will receive the update much quicker pulling it directly off our servers using Garmin Express vs. waiting for the Connect Mobile APP to push it to your watch through Bluetooth.

When we release a new update quarterly, it is across many devices at the same time so we have our servers slowly sending the new update to not burden the servers.
