What happened? DST wasn*t recognized or your alarms changed?
I haven't had any issues with this with any of my Garmin devices. Nor with an iPhone or iPad or Windows Laptop.
Of course, exactly :-) I beleive everything has been setup correctly, however the alarm went off one hour earlier, which totally screwed up my day and I am pis*ed off since then. I am sure there is some explanation, such as that in the moment of the time change the watch was offline, but ... 1000 usd ...
My watch is every night offline (i.e. not connected via bluetooth). Time was changed nevertheless. Are you sure that your settings are correct?
Well, I wouldnt bet my life, but, how it couldnt be correct? The watch knows my position, it has been connected to the phone, where my location and everything is set up correctly (by the way, the alarm on the phone went off correctly on time) . And even if I didnt set up something correctly (I really cannot imagine what), I still have bough one of the most expensive watch on the market, so I believe I have also paid enough so that the company can hire guys who are able to do these basic things properly. You know what I mean ... watch ... showing time ... DST change ...
Am I really the only one to be upset?
Mine changed the time. But it turned off dnd an hour early. Quite weird :p
Kind of same thing here.
9.37 firmware
no alarm but the sleep mode was supposed to end at 8:00am
During the night, I think it was 6:xx am (so more than one hour before but I'm not 100% sure), when I moved in my bed the screen woke up and displayed the regular watchface (not the night mode one).
I tried a few times to confirm the behavior and can confirm, even for example just by touching the screen it brightened up.
Same feeling at that time: WTF! The sleep mode is already a bandage on a poor design, so if it even doesn't work properly that's really annoying!
No problem for me, but then I use DND and battery saver so no connection to phone, but that only kicked in after the time change. If you Battery saver was on prior to the change and your watch is picking up time from your phone then yes I can see this occuring, especially if alarm goes off prior to battery saver switching off and giving yoru watch a chance to sync an update the time.
Personnaly I was not in battery saver mode. The phone was in airplane mode, the watch just in sleep mode (do not disturb). The time was right (when the watch was out of sleep mode at 6:something AM it was the right time (winter time).
Maybe report as a bug in the beta forums :)
For me it also didn't synch time automatically. I use DND mode both on Watch and my Pixel Phone. The phone auto-adjusted the time, but my Epix 2 only adjusted after I manually 'synch' it from the settings. Was also a bit suprised, luckily it was Saturday and I didn't have any early plans.
