Follow uses… Is it just me???
1) I have made switch from android to iOS with iPhone 14 Pro, and the behavior of Garmin Connect Sync is sporadic and delayed; app widgets such as Sleep, PulseO2 data is slow to sync. When I get up in the morning, I have to start the Connect app and force the app to manually sync even though the watch is connected. And when I do, I may first get heart rate data, then 5 minutes later get PulseO2 date without Sleep. And then 20 min later Sleep will show up, but PulseO2 data will not appear within the Sleep widget for another 5 minutes after that. Sleep data does show up rate away however through the iPhone Health app… And FYI, the app is set for background use so I should not have to manually open the app. Even if the app was left running, the same sync behavior occurs…
2) Message notifications are not always pushed to the watch… Sometimes I have noticed I will be sitting in my chair with my phone next to me; a message pings the phone but does not push to the watch.
3) The watch on the edge of Bluetooth range within my home annoyingly disconnects/reconnects numerous times while remaining stationary at say brushing my teeth, sitting at my desk, etc... This did not happen with android. From an engineering point of view, firmware code should be written to prevent random connection behavior but setting signal strength requirement for reconnect (once connection is lost, the device would need to significantly closer to reconnect to the phone)…
None of the above issues happened with android… I am running the latest iOS 16.x.x and 9.37 firmware.
Anybody have these issues? What did you do to fix? Garmin tech support was not helpful.
