EPIX 2 ! Problem buttons LIGHT and BACK LAP

file a support request and ask for a warranty replacement.

Have you heard about such a problem?

Hi! I have same issue. The BACK-LAP button doesn't work. Feels like it is steck in pressed mode so the watch's system thnik that the button  is constantly pressed. I tried to reset the watch, but during rebooting  the BACK-LAP button automaticly aborting it.Beacuse system think that this button is pressed. So now i cant turn my epix 2!

Im going to visit the vendor tomorrow regarding this issue.

Do not try to reboot your watches unless you solve the problem.

Same thing just happened to me too. Lap/Back button is unresponsive and then the Menu/Up button has died too in a matter of several minutes. Watch is made redundant, and I don't even swim with this watch, just running and weight training.... Contacted the support for a replacement.

I've had the same issue with an already replaced watch.

My first one ultimately died when I powered it off and on after showing the symptom. It would be stuck in a boot loop, repeatedly asking if I'd want to reset to defaults. Even a hard reset couldn't help. Support replaced the watch.

Today, I met the issue again. This time, I resisted a restart but just put it on the charger. Et voilà, LIGHT and BACK LAP are working again!

I faced the same problem too, I just sent the epix to Garmin Assistance for the second time in 6 months… First time happened after just 1 month and the epix was replaced with a new one. Now I’m going for the second replacement. Very frustrating

Do you surf or swim in the sea? I’m about to receive my 4th Epix 2, I’m a sea swimmer. I have seen several chats where Fenix 7 or Epix 2 watches have button issues after being inches sea. 

Some users who swim (pool and/or in open water) have that problem.
