Bluetooth Connection to iPhone

I really like my Epix but the bluetooth connection issue is incredibly frustrating. I have to disable and re-enable bluetooth on my watch numerous times before the watch will connect to the iphone. Why doesn't the watch just connect to the iphone when in range?? Or have some way to force a connection? The ongoing circus of disabling and re-enabling bluetooth and closing and opening Connect until the watch finally recognizes the iphone is getting old, and I haven't had this watch long

  • Must be something wrong with your setup. Never had any problems (except that sometimes you may have to force quit GC to re-establish the connection).

  • I don't know what could be wrong with my setup. I have bluetooth enabled on my phone and on the watch, and the watch will eventually recognize the phone, so if there's something more I should be doing I'd like to hear it.

  • I have Epix 2, iPhone 13 Pro Max with iOS 16 beta (and previously was on iOS15) and haven't seen any issues with bluetooth connectivity in a long long time. I am often walking around the house or going for a run and when I get back in range of my phone things magically reconnect with no manual intervention.

Have you tried force quitting Garmin Connect iOS and then rebooting both devices at about the same time as a one off action to see if that helps from that point forward?
