Epix 2 - suddenly died during night and not charging

I had +20% battery life going to bed. Woke up - epix2 not responsive.

Connecting to the cable (computer, battery pack, socket) - does not start charing my watch.

If I turn it on - shows 0% battery, no charging information, and in less then a minute powers down with message that battery level is critical low.

Any suggestions?

I had the same happening to me with my Fenix 3. I drained the battery completely without noticing it and it took for ages to start charging again. But once fully charged, never had the same issue again…

Perhaps try another charging cable if you have one.

Contact your retailer if local, Garmin Support otherwise.

Thank you. I still think its very vary unlikely that same time I have battery dead epix2 overnight my charging cable breaks.

Rotate the cable 180 degrees

Update: Resigned I have left unresponsive watch on the charger. After an hour for so, I've started it once again. It started charging - showed 2% but still started charging :). Next charging process looked like usual. Ofc I'm super happy now. What I'm still puzzled about is:
1. why my epix2 died during the night?
2. why it did not started charging as usual?

Can’t answer the questions but you can either carry on and see if it happens again, or contact Garmin Support now.

Thank you. I will hold off for now - do 2-3 cycles (2weeks each roughly) and based on what happens proceed further.

I only use it for activities with high risk of damage otherwise it sits on my desk.

Are you on the new version? Some users are experiencing higher battery drain. Could explain why it happened

I have epix 2, soft version 8.37 - not sure if its new or old.

That is the old one - stay on it. The new one, 9.33, seems to drain the battery.
