GNSS All Sats + MB track unusable in dense urban environment

I’m running 9.28B but this doesn’t seem something that Garmin would regress on...

First trip ever with epix 2 to a large city - Chicago. A couple walking sessions I decided to use GNSS for. I used All Sats + multi band and let it soak a few minutes. I verified the GNSS lock and All Sats mode before starting on my trek. You can see the horrific tracks.

I could see mid way how bad this was going to be, so I snapped some mid walk pictures of the watch showing track as well as the GPS data field showing full signal.

I live in a more rural area and the GNSS tracks have been stellar… so this is extremely disappointing and not indicative of the DCrainmaker NYC testing results he got.

You must post this in the beta forum if you have not already done so. It is quite possible the problem is with 9.28b. And since beta versions are release candidate versions it's even more important that you post in the appropriate place.

I started there but it seemed to have an issue with the 3 pictures I added. I will try again. It is not accepting my posting at this time. I would be surprised if Garmin make such radical impacts to GNSS accuracy though.

If you have a look at the reviews, like the one from DCR, you will find out that this is not surprising. Even with multi band the surrounding houses are a challenge and will likely end up with the GPS path you posted above.
