HRM Pro Plus Gives No Data for Stair Stepper Activity

I have the HRM PRO PLUS

i tried it with treadmill activity on my garmin epix 2 watch , while wearing the HRV PRO PLUS and it works.

I tried it with stair stepper activity on my garmin watch , while wearing the HRV PRO PLUS , and it didn't work .

Request help/software update to add support for the HRM for stair stepper activity.

You won't get pace/distance for stair stepping no matter what sensor you use.

I personally use Stryd. But only did it once on the stair stepper (not used the stair stepper activity. used indoor run).

It reports speed and distance. But also because of the special movement, I don't think it is measuring it exactly.

you won't get height or something else. I don't think there is a real sensor to get exactly what you want.

I also use Stryd, you won't get exactly what you are wanting, but it does work. Stair stepping is one of the best activities for Aenerobic one can do. I attain more "fitness" doing intervals on a stair stepper than running, biking and swimming. I wish there was more data available like from a bike or treadmill.

And, it doesn't hurt my injured Achilles

Can Garmin just add those fields so we can enter the data. Just today I did Stair stepper. 53.4 floors climbed, 15 minutes, 130 W avg. power, 55 steps per minute… But not in Garmin. Also can’t add Floors climbed on watch itself.

I did calculate Ascend by multiplying floors by 3 meters.

Please be clear. You have heart rate from the strap but none of the data you get when on the treadmill, right?

Yes, only HR. But what is infuriating is that I can’t even add the rest of data manually.
