Structed workouts are pretty great. And with the recent addition of Race based Suggested Workouts I think I'll likely be using them more and more.
The one annoying bug I have is the 'Out of Zone' alerts. For example at the start of a run I'm getting them constantly as my heart rate hasn't got up to it's required zone yet. And later during a workout when in a 'Recovery' phase I'm constantly getting them because my heart rate hasn't dropped low enough yet.
It would be great if you had the option to disable the tones and/or vibrations for the Out of Zone alerts, on a per-activity profile basis.
There are numerous other posts in the Garmin forums asking for this feature, mostly in the Fenix 5 section which is why I've re-created it here.
I love the move to enable near-full customization of your watch from within the Garmin app. Adding this little feature I can't image is a big task?
The only current workaround that I know of is to disable tones and vibrations for the entire watch, system wide, but this has the major disadvantage that you then don't get the alerts at the beginning or end of an interval which I think is essential.
I have managed to overcome this issue in the past on my self-created workouts by setting the target window really wide, e.g. target 170 BMP but max/min at 150 and 190. This kinda works but still not ideal.
Please add this Garmin.
