issue: always on display does not work with third party watch faces

Can Garmin fix this on the next software update? My watch still turns off after period of inaction even if I turned on the always on display in settings.

Also, some key sport profiles are now missing (for example, badminton and hot yoga). Wondering if they will ever be added...

  • AFAIK Its not a bug, its a feature. There are same limits on custom watchfaces to prevent AMOLED display burn-in. I am not sure if there an API to control this - if so watchfaces will probably adapt it over time.

Upvote for badminton :) - counting strikes or estimating smash velocity would be a nice feature :)

  • I think you will have to ask the developer of your watchface. I develop watchfaces myself and they stay on in AOD. But when your watchface violates the "no Pixel lit for more than 3min" rule, then it will turn off after 3 minutes.
