Open water odd track

Hi all,

i recorded an open water swim today. A couple of laps in the sea following some cones. When I finished, it seemed to record the distance ok but the track is basically a short line.

any idea? I used 1 second recording and all systems multi gps.

with breaststroke you don't have GPS when your watch is underwater or covered with water. So no recording. You have to keep

your watch over water (with freestyle the time over water is most of the…

Same problem here, no matter how long the swim or its duration, tracking looks exactly the same and metrics are not usable (except HR which is working ok during the swim). On previous Fenix 6 Pro worked…

How long were the laps? Is it possible they were too short for the watch to discern a distance.

Yes, was breaststroke. How come it recorded the distance if GPS was not working?

Also, I’ve recorded many swims breaststroke in the past and had tracks that seemed ok. This one is none existent?

Yes, I’m sure this is just plain wrong. I’ve checked my 945 breaststroke and they all look normal. This was two very large laps and it tracked a short line.

You can do that but pretty sure Garmin’s response is to swim freestyle. Would love to see some of your earlier breaststroke tracks.
