Strange screen display - what is the EPIX trying to tell me?

What does my EPIX want to tell me? How can I turn it off?

Thanks guys!

  • That is the torch. When you go very low light it turns it red to help with night vision, though really the plus should be in red too. By pressing the plus you can expand the white rings all the way to generate enough light that it works even in pretty dim places as well as exceptionally well in dark places.

How to get out - press back button (right bottom), quickly tap your palm over your screen (in AOD on it will take you back to watch face; in AOD off mode it will take you back to watch face and turn off the screen).

To access torch: long press light button (left top) until control wheel comes up then release - scroll and find torch (if not there add it - can add by long pressing any app icon). Note that if you long press light button and continue to hold past the control wheel opening it will trigger live assistance (release button to trigger it or press cancel) - if you long press light button and continue to hold past control wheel, and past live assistance (i.e. don't release to trigger live assistance) your watch will perform a hard reboot (switch off). Supposedly there is a difference to this hard reboot compared to using the control wheel switch off option.

Note there is a hotkey to trigger the torch: double tap the light button.

  • Don't listen to  and his well structured and helpful posts. This is clearly a self-destruct button. Grin
