touch screen stays on during activity

Hi since the update to 8.37 it is noticeable that the function disable touchscreen during activity no longer works. In other words, the touchscreen remains active while it is in the software on off during activities. When the touch screen is normal and sleep works, I can turn it off. Does anyone else have this problem too? I think that the software is poor, with firmware 8.35 I could turn off everything during activities.

  • Are you referring to being able to use touch on the screen during an activity and or referring to the screen staying awake during an activity?

    For mine both work fine.

AOD off (screen off during an activity) will still trigger if you have wrist gesture on, if off then it wont. Unfortunately at the moment there isn't a way to define wrist gesture setting in power management profile - so something you have to manually go and change.

  • No i mean somehing different. You can control the Epix with the touchscreen of thru the buttons on te side. I dont want the touch screen during a activity but only the buttons. You can manage this threu settings. But at this time when i turn touch during activity off it has no effect. I mean it still usabel. So i can scroll with screen and button.  Before the update, when i turn the setting off. I can only use the buttons. It seems like the settings have no effect.

  • I assume you have checked and confirmed that its off for activity? Global: (on watch press menu/ on phone press device icon) System - general/ during activity / during sleep. I assume that only the General use is toggled on.

If it is then try rebooting watch and see if that fixes, if not you might have to factory restore.

Alternatively you can set a hotkey to touch, then use that disable touch. Post activity you will need to use hotkey again.

  • There are two places where this can be set. Firstly, the global one, which is in Settings, System, Touch, During Activity. I guess this is the one you have set to OFF. But within the app itself (Settings, Activities & Apps, Walk (or Run etc) you can set it back to ON for just that app. I expect you'll find this one is set to ON.
