Brand new Epix Gen 2 out of the box and will not pair with my Iphone.

Hi all,

I have a brand new Epix Gen 2 out of the box but refuses to connect to garmin connect or pair with my IPhone. I’ve contacted support who gave me many tips and tricks to try (power cycling, checking SW versions etc) but nothing has worked. The watch just doesn’t appear in the list either on GC or in my Bluetooth menu. It’s really frustrating!! Support have requested I send over data via email and fault logs etc which I’ve done. Has anybody else had this issue?? Help!!

Since your Samsung device is connecting to the watch, it could be that the BT from the Samsung side is 'hijacking' the BT signal from the watch. Try turning off BT completely on the Samsung side and then trying again with the iPhone and the watch, etc. Since the watch connects to that other device, clearly the watch isn't the problem. Try shutting off BT on the Samsung and trying again on the iOS side.

Oh! Then it is not a watch issue! Now you need to make sure that the watch is not connected to some other BT device (computer, tablet, etc).

I had a similar problem. I had a Garmin Epix that had previously connected but following a software update (Garmin connect) and ios 16 the watch failed to pair. It was solved by going to bluetooth setting on phone and deleting the previous paired watch which had showed up in the menu. Once it was deleted and then pairing tried afresh between the phone and the watch it paired successfully. Not say ing this is the same with you but it worked with the issue I had.

mine turned out to be a faulty watch. I returned it and ordered another and it connected in seconds and I’ve had no issues since.

Hi. Did you manage to resolve this problem? Just bought an epix gen 2 and can’t get it to pair with my iPhone either. Thanks in advance.

Hi there,

as mentioned above. I returned the watch and ordered another and it connected and worked seamlessly in seconds. Never had an issue since.
