8.21 long press back button to watch face gone - BUG?

The long press back button to watch face is a neat feature to get out of a deep-level menu setting straight to watch face, typically when not in a workout.

Sadly, since I assigned a shortcut to the back button, this stopped working. Now even if I unassign the back button shortcut (i.e. set to none), doesn't work either. Only short press to go a level up.. in a deep menu, this is annoying.

There is no customization for long press of the back button, AFAIK, so seems like a bug.

MENU > System > Hot Keys > Hold Back > Select Watch Face

Indeed, just found that out too. It's a strange naming - one could assume this would lead to watch face selection screen - but works fine to go to active watch face. Thanks!

Long press on DOWN is(/was?) defaulted to hot key for watch face.

Also, wherever you are in a menu, no matter how deep, placing your palm over the screen for a few seconds will turn the screen off…and key press or wrist gesture / touch will turn on…and you’ll be at the watch face.

Not on my watch, its worked with long press back to go to watch face. I've tested the long press down (by removing custom shortcut from it) and does not work as a hotkey to go back to watch face
As said, this started after another function was assigned to the back button, then even removing the function does not restore the "go back to watch face on long press"

Seems like a bug to me..

Without knowing what your back button was set to before you changed it, we can’t say.

but we do know assigning the down button as a hot key for going back to watch face should accomplish what you want, yes?
