Pace Pro Display stays partly blank

Dear Epix Users,

one thing is bugging me with the pace pro display on my epix.

If I add the pace pro display to any custom data screen, the top right box stays empty. I have tried to follow a course with pace pro plan, do it without a course, make a new activity type, but to no avail.

Is that working for anybody? And of so, what is supposed to be displayed there?

The pace pro page itself works fine for me...

I'm trying to replicate the data screen. What is the layout and fields? I have HR Gauge, PacePro Gauge and Time in a 3 row layout but not sure it's the same.

Hi and thank you for trying it out! My settings: Run Activity with HR Gauge at top, PacePro Gauge in the middle and Pace at the bottom. It is a three field layout without headers.

But I already tried a bunch of different layouts and for me it made no difference. I ran with it both on a course and with a non-course pacepro plan.

I tried, and I observed the same. The rectangle that you circled remains empty. I started a run using a pace pro plan, and the other 2 elements of the Pace Pro Gauge fiels started populating, but not the rectangle. I don't know what this rectangle is supposed to be.

I wonder if it's meant to be split pace? Just noticed that my PP plans do not have splits when created on the watch. Perhaps a plan with splits will populate the rectangle once the split is complete?

What software version on the watch? I'm on 8.31alpha.

I've contacted Garmin Support. Suggest you do the same if not already done..

I'm on 8.21. Well it seems they forgot something there.. My guess is that in the box it would display the ahead/behind time, as on the left it shows the current split pace. It might also be the target split pace - I don't know.

I'll report it to support, too.

At least you can get all the values as single fields, too. I don't care about the bar too much.

Problem appears to be the colour of the text in the box. It should be white on black. On the F7 the same display shows white on black which is also wrong. I'm sure a fix will be introduced inverting the colors on both.

Ahhh that makes sense! I also found that autoclimb still has the invert color option on the epix, which has no effect on amoled. So it seems that there are some artefacts from the MIP display firmwares as they share most of the software.

Very good find! Now just out of curiosity, what is displayed in the box?
