No pairing with Jabra Elite 7 Active possible

Epix Gen2 FW 7.35

I am not able to pair my new BT headphones: Jabra Elite 7 Active

The Epix does detect them at first but the following step in 'pairing' them is not completing (I only see a 'ring' for a minute or two) then the pairing process gets cancelled.

To be sure I turned off any other bluetooth devices so any possible interference can be eliminated.

No problem in pairing the headset with other devices (i.e. Smartphone)

    I use Jabra Elite 7 Active several times a week, and sometimes I get drops when the headphones need to be reconnected only with Running activity and not Biking (go figure, both outside with GPS and HR). Epic firmware 7.35 and Jabra firmware 2.00 and 2.20 therefater. Try resetting the headphones and then sofr-resetting the watch.

    wow... tried resetting everything, but nothing worked

    then I had one more idea: I already had two other paired headsets with the watch

    After deleting one of them, pairing with the new Jabra 7 Active finally worked

    So only two headsets can be in the 'paired devices' list? Is this documented somewhere?

    Why doesn't the watch annouce this, in case the device list is 'full' already?
