Watch doesn't come out of scheduled sleep timings

My Epix 2 goes into the sleep mode at the scheduled time I have configured (each night at 2230hrs the gesture activation is disabled, the screen blanks and touch is disabled as part of the sleep mode)......

The sleep mode turns off at 0630hrs and the screen 'should' return to normal operation however it never does and it remains in the sleep mode requiring a button press just to display the time.

The workaround is to power-cycle the watch in which case normal operation resumes. Is this a known bug in v7.35? To clarify, my non-sleep settings are configured for AoD and gesture activated, touchscreen enabled. Once power-cycled everything works exactly as it should, with the watchface dimming etc so this isn't a duplicate of other posts mentioned on this forum.

I don't think it's a known issue as i didn't see many/any posts about something similar.
Does activating/deactivating sleep mode, manually, fix the issue? Just to avoid to power-cycle the watch always while there you find better solutions.

For manual activation/deactivation of sleep mode you can long-press the top left button and then choose the sleep mode or set a shortcut with a combination of buttons(from system settings and then "hot keys").

If you are running a watch face other than the built in ones, try going back to one that came with the watch. i have found 3rd party watch faces make the watch do quirky things, including not display full brightness for the set timings and other oddities. I’ve gone back to just using the Garmin one and some of my other issues have calmed down.

Manually turning sleep mode off doesn't fix this issue. I looked at that initially and still noticed that the watch face completely turns off even though AoD is set to 'On'. Powercycle seems to be the only option I've found to get the watch working aa it should.

This happens whether a stock or 3rd party watchface is selected. It's like the scheduled time for the sleepmode is completely ignored.

Have you tried a reboot, and or a hard reset and failing that a factory reset - as it really shouldn't be doing that. I definitely do not experience that, however I am also running the DND and Battery Saver (edited for HR on) - if you aren't using either of those maybe try including those profiles with the sleep and see if that resolves the issue.

I also have the same issue. I’ve now deleted two watchfaces added via Garmin ConnectIQ and will report back if that resolves the problem.

I finally got my issue sorted.....a combination of firmware update and changing Connect IQ watchface - you do need one that is compatible with the different power modes. I think some of the additional watchfaces just don't play nice. My scheduled timings are all fine now.

Yes, running on latest firmware and ensure you have a watchface that has the low power mode (dims on AoD).
