Accelerometer Issues

I have an epix 2 that has stopped responding to wrist gestures and has stopped recording laps in my pool swim workouts. I'm assuming the accelerometer has stopped responding.

The last time this happened, I restarted the watch and it fixed the issue; this time, no such luck. How do I solve this, short of resetting the watch?

    The pool swim distance issue is a known issue that will be resolved by engineering as soon as possible. The main thread for the issue where updates are made is this one - No Swim Distance.

    Your gesture feature not responding is a hardware concern. Ensure your Epix 2 software is up to date at version 7.35. There are two steps you can try to resolve the issue.

    Please try the following:

    Hard Reset: Hold down your top left power button until your watch shuts off then let go once off

    Reset through your System > Reset menu.

    If your accelerometer is failed, your watch will not give your daily steps since steps come from the motion of your arm.

    You can either wait for the public release or apply 8.14b for your pool swim issue.
