I had this happen after I purchased. Call support, there was a specific series of button presses that worked. Mine was, like yours stuck in a reboot. Been fine ever since.
This happens to me on every reset. This fixes it.
1. Turn off your Garmin watch (Hold power button down for 30 seconds)
2. Press and hold the down, start, and back buttons
3. Power on your Garmin watch while holding these buttons
4. After the first beep release the start button
5. After the second beep release the remaining buttons
The watch should now be reset.
Thank you so much my friend. You are a life saver. Strange you can’t find any off this information in the Garmin folders or internet. Much appriciated!
Hi mine has same issue but still won't get out of the reboot. I can power it off but that's about all. Do you press all 3 buttons at same time? If so that's what I have done but not getting anywhere. Any assistance appreciated.
Hi mate. you start holding the on button until it’s starts (Epix logo) then while you holding the on button you puse all the other buttons. ( you have to try it a few times, it’s not easy. After the first beep you release the on button. After the second beep you let the other three fingers go. I tied it 6 times. But it works at the end. Good luck.
Hi. Thanks for replying. Ended up sorting it out. Pressed light button, down, start and back button altogether and it then beeped and then let go of start button and all sorted. Thanks heaps.
Wel done, Now take a beer and relax, because there are some more isseu with this Epix. Mine wil break down so now and often playing the music widget. I don’t use it any more. Hope the fix it, next update.
I had to perform a hard reset. However, I tried several times before it worked. In my case, the seemed to be a bug related to Emergency contacts, I added that data and also I was using an custom watch face, so replaced for one of the built in watch faces and that seem to had fixed the problem
Thank you!
Great! Still really a big help after two years!
