Epix 2 Touch based watch faces

Apologises if this has been asked before - but Garmin pre-installed watch faces allow you to touch on the data elements to access the widgets and data directly - but it doesnt appear any developer is doing this for independent watch faces despite the new Connect CIQ 5 now being used by some.

Is there a simple reason for this and when should we expect for other watch faces for Epix 2 to have this feature

Watch face developers do not have access to "inputs" whether buttons or touch screen, even with System 5.

Only Garmin built-in faces can have this functionality.

That seems nonsensical- to have that functionality and not allow developers to access it.

Well if Garmin aren’t going to give independents designers that functionality then Garmin should be encouraged to design more watch faces internally.

I suspect CIQ will get the "complications" functionality at some point, but not initially. Native watch faces that have it are not written in CIQ.
