emergency call doesn't work

Hi,

I configured emergency call on mobile app, provided emergency phone number and email.

From round menu on watch (long press LIGHT) I picked 'emergency', waited till counter ends.

EPIX2 confirmed that help was called. Unfortunately, nothing has happened. Neither sms nor email sent.

I checked garmin connect access rights (Android 11), looks like all accesses granted.

Any idea what might be wrong?

It will only text (when it works properly) not call a contact. Are you expecting an actual phone call to be made?

I just did a test.
Configured Safety Features in Garmin Connect and added one of my mobile numbers as well as my email as two separate contacts.
Synced the watch
Long press up to activate the Safety Assistance Alert.

Got a SMS immediately and an email within seconds:

I did a test on another day and it worked. Nothing has changed in my configuration/setup. Now it's not something I would trust....BTW of course I know it's only sms and email, do not expect a call.

BTW, call would be a good feature as well. It brings more attention than text.

Just checking, was your watch connected to your phone at the time? You have to have your phone with you and connected for this feature.

Yes, it was connected, up and running.
