No, it is only on or off.

Gesture is always off during sleep. You need to push a button to activate the display.

It is already available in 7.24 and by default.
You do not need to update into 7.35...

Does not work for me. In sleep mode with touch off it requires a button to turn the display on. 

+1! 1 year later and it has never been implemented. 

Please add Gesture Sensitivity Settings! 

By my experience with many Garmin watches, the AMOLED Epix2 / Quatix7 is much less sensible and has slower response to gestures than the other models with MIP + backlight gesture activation. 

Looks like they made it that way to save battery, but it's terrible for usability, specially during sports, which is the whole point.

Please at least give the user an option to choose how sensible and fast the gesture detection should be, and how long the screen must stay lit after the  gesture ends.

It`s worthless and kind of makes me miss the MIP screen, i have gone to always on, on my Epix 2.
Like mentioned, it takes a while for the screen to wake up from sleep. This is terribly annoying!

There is a timout value that you can adjust  - can set 4s, 8s or 15s --- or do you mean you want a custom value to enxtend it out much further.

Thanks for replying. No, I meant the gesture that turns on the screen while it’s turned off. This is only applicable on AMOLED models (Epix2 for example). It takes some time, approximately ~3s before the screen even reacts to the wrist motion. Still miss the clear MIP screens from past. Where no touch, Solar or Sapphire crystals were included. These altogether makes MIP screens from Fenix7/Enduro2 and so on very dim. 

only occasionally noticed an issue like that when tracking, however that is a known bug introduced with an update that will hopefully be resolved in next update.
