Step tracking is accurate, distance isn't

I am having having a weird issue with my Epix Gen 2.

Step tracking is very close to what two mobile phones and a Fitbit are recording but distance is wildly inaccurate.

Correct distance: 15.2km; Garmin distance: 20.3km

I have noticed this behaviour over the past one week, when the Epix 2 has been consistently reportage steps correctly but not the distance covered.

Any tips?

Check the step length that the watch has saved. You can manually add step length.

I haven't had to do this across anyone of my Garmin devices.

I don't know my average step length and the watch is meant to know it, gives my height, weight etc are in Garmin Connect. Not to mention that GPS is normally used to calibrate this.

I have never seen as big a discrepancy in terms of distance tracking accuracy.

How do you know that the 15.2km for almost 25k steps are correct? In my physiology (1.88m), i think the Garmin estimation is better working.

I would trust a Samsung phone+Apple phone+Fitbit reporting the correct distance given how close all three devices were versus the outlier ie Garmin.
