Hide device in activity feed to Strava

Is there a way to hide my device in the activity feed to Strava. Don't want to show off people with a Epix Gen2. That a privacy related data item if you ask me.
Would be nice to be able to customize the description. Then i would change it to just 'Garmin'

FIT File Tools has a device changer. Change it to a Timex or some watch that Strava doesn't recognize, which will make the field blank, or you can make it a low-end Garmin, like the Forerunner 10.

If you want to have this whilst you have the automatic upload of activities from Connect to Strava, then the simple answer is no (not without locking down Strava so your activities don't show publicly). You'll need to take this up with Strava if you think it's a privacy feature they need to provide (it's not something Garmin controls). As Seilogramp mentions, you could achieve this if you manually upload your activity files to Strava, after using a third party tool to strip/change the device code (but I suspect that's going to be too much of a bother for all activities, unless you've reason to be particularly paranoid).
