Hi
I have a problem with navigation. Shows heading but not track and turns.
I don't know if it worked before because I didn't try it.
Try it on your watches.
Firmware 7.24.

Have you perhaps chosen a course and routing setting for courses is “follow course”? That works. Try to navigate to a poi or saved location...
As far as I know, the TA maps are not using routing setting with a motor (automobile, motorcycle…),
Yup, I've just checked the equivalent on my Fenix 6X Pro Solar and it does exactly the same; direct line with either "Automobile" or "Motorcycle" routing settings. So it does indeed seem like this is intended behaviour with the TopoActive maps installed. I guess you'd need to install some third party maps that do have automobile routing built in to them for these routing settings to work.
Perhaps it would be a good idea for Garmin, not to show not possible routing setting while using a TA map.
Agreed. Who knows how many angry people there are out there that think something is broken, when it's just some settings being available/visible that are inappropriate for the default maps that come with the watch. I suppose the giveaway that this is the case, is that there are no automobile based activity apps on the Fenix/Epix watches; so it's not intended for you to use the watch to navigate somewhere whilst driving a car or riding a motorbike (although you could just select "ATV/Off Road" or "Road Cycling" routing settings, which do work with the TopoActive maps).
You are right, after the tests I confirm. Routing does not work in routed mode: car or motorcycle. Which maps work with motorcycle routing?
Which maps work with motorcycle routing?
If you're really insistent on trying to get these settings to work, then you could experiment with finding an OSM map that is automobile biased on from one of the sources of OSM maps listed here https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/OSM_Map_On_Garmin/Download. Alternatively, save yourself loads of pain, heartache and time by switching to the Road Cycling routing setting, which does work with the TopoActive maps; there's no benefit I can see to using the Automobile or Motorcycle settings over Road Cycling on the Epix 2 (or Fenix watched for that matter).
Thanks for advice
i just tried it today and my maps were able to route with the "car" profile.
Auto = german word for car.

What maps are you using? Given you have contours you must have something more than just TopoActive Europe loaded (which don't have contours, unlike TopoActive North America that do).

Thanks (nice looking maps too). That at least answers the question of whether Automobile and Motorcycle routing will work with the appropriate maps installed; they do. The shame is that when you move to alternative topo maps like yours. with more topo detail, you lose the popularity routing data that is in the Garmin TopoActive maps. It seems with the mapping, it's hard to have your cake and eat it
Ok, we were talking about that this don’t work with Garmin TA maps And btw: car routing setting in the mountains on paths and trails make no sense- one of the reasons, why this don’t work on TA maps.
