Can't Skip Track/Song From Bluetooth Headphones

Hi,

I have a pair of bluetooth headphones, the JLabs JBud Air, that worked perfectly fine with my previous Fenix 5 plus, and even now with my new Epix 2. BUT, when I long tap on the right one, on my Fenix 5 plus it correctly advances to the next song in my playlist (Spotify). On the Epix 2 though, it briefly pauses, then just restarts the same song. So during a run I am forced to do it from the music controls on the watch itself.

Anyone else seeing this behavior? Is this likely to be a bug in the watch software? Or the Spotify app? Or something wrong with the signal the headphones are sending?

Thanks.

  • So it means that your long-press is just a stop (not pause). I'm not sure what about your headphones, but for Apple AirPods you can configure the tactile pressing, in my case double press working as the next track, one press is the pause and the long press is the NC ON/OFF. Try to play around maybe you can find the correct one. Also in the case of AirPods L/R  Headphones could have different configurations. I mean play around with both, Left / Right. Hope you will find the correct one. At the same time check the Headphones APP configuration if you have one.

  • Thanks, but these headphone arwe not that fancy, there is no configuration app, the various long press, single or double press actions are fixed. Long press on the right one is set to "advance to next track". As I said it used to work fine on Fenix 5 plus.

I'll try reporting as a bug to Garmin and see what they say.
