Daily running workout suggestions

Hi, is there anywhere I can see the suggested running workout for the day on the watch other than when I start a running activity? I would like to see the activity somewhere in the morning so I can plan according to what is suggested. At the moment I only see it when I start an activity. Then I have the choice to do this workout or dismiss it. When I dismiss it it seems to be gone.

  • After you select Run/Trail Run long press the up button, scroll to Training and the suggested workout will be there.  This can be done prior to starting the run so you can exit.  There may be an easier method, I am fairly new to the watch so not sure of other ways to see suggested workouts.

  • hmm I can view the day's suggested workout, leave that part of the menu (without actually STARTING the run), and then go back to it later whenever I want. I do that all the time - like, daily. Constantly. Perhaps there's a step you're missing, or you're unaware of. Let me describe how I do it:
    Press Start/Stop button.

    Select 'Run'.

Press Up (some of the next parts will vary based on what button and actions you've taken recently - the device 'remembers' what you've done last, and tries to take you to that same spot). From your post, I bet this step of pressing UP BEFORE you actually kick off the activity, is what you might be missing. Pressing UP after pressing Run takes you to your various Activity Options.

    Select 'Workouts'.

    Select 'Today's Suggestion'.

View, etc and then back out to the main menu if you want.

    See if that helps.

  • The daily workout suggestion is displayed in the calendar widget. But not on the day you finish a workout, then the next one will appear only the next day

  • Mine are not as only workouts synced from TrainingPeaks appear.

  • Thanks for your replies, they are all very helpful. Think I'll use the calendar from now on

  • If you synch any workouts from Garmin/TP or elsewhere, the watch assumes you are on a plan and doesn’t provide a suggestions. Wich seems to be legit as long as you have a running/cycling workout that day set by yourself. If you only sync yoga/strength and it will not provide a running/cycling Workout suggestion, it’s a bit odd.
