True, but I would also like to see the number. My old eyes strggels a bit when wearing lenses while running, although the Epix was a great improvement over my previous Forerunner 945 :-)
This is what I see for the first default screen in the Run Activity:
It clearly shows the Heart Rate (Pulse) and the Heart Rate Zones in a bar across the top.
I don't understand what it is you say you are missing 
I don't think you can. One option would be to change one of the current fields to show HR Zone, or add another to have a display like this:
