Epix Gen 2 Battery Life w/AOD and All Satellites

Real life battery consumption seems to be accurate for the Epix. I am going to add on a 7th activity shortly (1hr hike) and today is Day 6 since new and fully charged around mid-day last Thursday. My settings are AOD, gestures for activities but not general use and GPS set to All Satellites. Sleep settings are the schedule the watch arrived with. Shown below is battery status today, morning of day 6 and my Calander of Activities. According to the hour estimates I should have battery till maybe 4am tomorrow day 7.

    Added a 7th activity of 45 minutes. 13 hours of smartwatch time left on the clock. for 6+ days of use. If I shut AOD off for general use it bumps up the battery for another 2 days.

    Before I started my hike it showed 3 hours left of battery life for the activity, so I figure that's good to keep in mind. My old 5x didn't give me that kind of useful data/feedback.

    6 hours shy of 7 days! Watch face came on at 6am out of sleep mode and at 6:30 went into battery save mode prior to shutting down.

    Question - is your AOD setting the true "always on" from the recent firmware where it is on all the time, or the "always on" that goes to black screen after ~60 seconds of no movement?

    This was prior to 7.24. So was on 7.20. I have a feeling now with true AOD it may affect battery life. I switched over to AOD Off after the 7.24 update yesterday and am now using Gestures w/AOD Off for General Use. Still using AOD and Gestures during Activities. I like the fact I get 17 days of smartphone life and Gestures just to see the time during the day seems fine for me. At night may use the Display Off Control.

    This is a one-week update, after a full charge at 6:30am last thursday, and this week Disabling AOD for General Activities and using Gesture. I used about 8 hours of activity time using All Satellites. Nothing else changed. I have 6 days left of smartphone life. Appears like 1/4 of time is reduced with my daily activities, so should have another 3-4 days before the battery is depleted. So far very happy using the Epix set as it is. AOD disabled with gestures works just fine for checking time and glances.

    I put a full charge on mine on the 10th of Feb after the 7.24 update and just put it on the charger with 22% remaining. So that gave me 7 days with gesture mode for both standby and activities and almost 6 hours of GPS time with all satellites + multi band.

    I’m more than satisfied with that seeing as how it’s a bit better than my non-solar F6 by a day or 2.

    Sadly, I had to do a charge Saturday morning as had 3 days and 12% left and was heading out on a mtb ride (Figured up to 11% might have been used during the activity). Would have cut it close in any case and could have probably lasted till Sunday 6am. So, 10 days is about right with current settings (AOD off and using Gestures for General use but using AOD on and Gestures for Activities).

    Moving forward, going to go with the settings I have. Pleased with the results. As an aside on today's ride, the touchscreen and map was excellent. I could tap and swipe with gloves. Also swipe and change screens on the go. On the 5x would have been stop, press a whole lot of buttons, and basically waste lots of time.
