Calendar sync with phone

I cant get any data sync between my watch and Pixel 4a 5g phone..   my  watch remains empty (no events) although my phone is well stocked...  any suggestions? Thoughts?  Ideas?

  • Updated August 29th, 2022:

Please update to the Q3 2022 v9.33 software update to resolve the issue.

  • I followed the articles but did not find any settings that were not active (permissions, connections, sync, etc) I did repeat the suggestions and reset everything.   No change there.  Still says no events by the calendar icon on the watch.

I did disable a duckduckgo browser option for application screening.  Later I found that although the cal icon still says no enent, when I click on it I see a single date with an event now.  I cannot find any guidance decribing how the event calendar should show on the watch..  Unless the intent is to sync more than a single date and event, there really is no point investigating deeper.

Any further suggestions will be appreciated.

  • Same problem. What is the native calendar, I've have office 360 option on my Gconnect and linked but no data???

  • The calendar needed on your phone for the widget to work must be the native calendar that came with your phone and not a calendar that you installed from the App Store or Google Play.  So, an Office 365 calendar, Outlook or any other calendar that you installed can only be used if you linked it within the native phone calendar.  Linking your Office 365 to your Garmin Connect calendar is not what this is talking about. You can use whatever calendar you want on your phone but the native calendar has to link to it or it won't work with the widget. Just link it and forget about it, you don't have to use it to add events.  Once linked, events will automatically populate.

Also, the calendar widget will only show basic information about the calendar event, and it will only show events for the next two days (I believe).

  • I had to install a calender on my phone because it didn't have one on it (native)

  • I'm am getting reminders in notification from calender but shows nothing in calendar widget on watch?

  • What kind of phone do you have?  Like I said, you can't just use any calendar, like whatever you have downloaded.  If you have an Android phone you have to use the Android calendar (search for it in the Google Play store) and then link the calendar account from your other downloaded calendar within it.  Also, notifications that you are getting from the calendar are from your downloaded calendar, which cannot be read by the widget.

  • Ok what is the native calendar for pixel 6 I have Google calendar ( I had to download) there is no native calendar. I also have outlook synced with Google calender. Like I said reminders from the calendar show on watch but not in calendar on watch.

  • I have a Samsung Note so I have no idea what the native calendar is on a Pixel.  So, first, you'll have to get help with your particular phone to find out.  But don't confuse the notifications and the calendar widget.  They are two different things.  One has nothing to do with the other.  The notifications are just that . . notifications.  No different than email or text notifications. They are coming from an app.  The widget gets its info from a different source.

  • OK so I'm confused.  Notifications are coming from the very same calendar app on my phone!! Not two different sources
