Experience of screen size for those of you coming from 6X

Agree with Gaijin. You won't miss that 0.1" one little bit. You'll be very glad you upgraded.

took 3 days to get used to the smaller size. but i actually like it better. not to mention the weight and size that are better. its kess obstructive during sleep for me.

As other have said, the higher resolution makes text sharper meaning you can have smaller text and it still be legible. Then the brighter screen/ off angle legibility means the screen is much easier to read than the 6X series. This really offsets that small difference in screen size. The slightly smaller size took some getting used to as you get used to the size/ heft. Took a couple of days but I’m really happy with the Epix

Coming from F3, F3HR, F5X, F6X.

Really struggled whether to get the 7X for extra battery or the Epix2 for the AMOLED screen.

I chose the Epix, and OMG the screen just doesnt compare, higher res 416px vs 280px, text is sharp, easy to read in ANY conditions, sun or no sun, with foreground glare (not very good with the 6X), with sunglasses on or whatever, the slightly smaller size is easily made up for by the much higher res and colours.

The maps are crisp, like on a phone.

I cant go back to a MIPS display, I cant, I wont 8-).

Yes, the battery is not as good, my 6X would make it through 1 week, but I have found the Epix to be nearly their, about 6 days with AOD off and wrist gesture on, so not too bad.

Couldn't agree with the rest of the comments on here more. Yes, the Epix 2 is slightly smaller but it more than makes up for it. Battery life has been pretty good for me and using the map is a joy in comparison.
