First time Garmin purchaser here. Went for the Epix2 due to AMOLED.
I have connected my Spotify account and can sync easy enough. What I am trying to find it controlling Spotify on my phone (play, pause, skip)
Connected to my Glaxy Note S20 5G Ultra via Bluetooth. Getting all notifications inc calls and SMS. Premium Spotify account. All permissions and notifications turned on. Music Provider is set to Spotify.

Should be quite a simple thing. What am I missing here?
