Always on for Specific Activities

I have the same question. Currently i use the Fenix 6 and there it is a problem for me too ;) 

I did a workaround which may work also for the Epix (a test and reply would be nice).

I set the default setting to always on for activities. And then i made a power saving profile for "outdoor" (a own profile). And then i set it to all my outdoor activities (hiking, walking, bike etc.). In this profile i disabled the backlight. It works fine for me. So i have all indor activities with nice backlight and all outdoor activities it is off.

Maybe you can set such a setting for you too. As you only have the option to disable light in an energy saving profile, you have to turn light on for default activities and set the saving profile to all activities you don´t need the light.

You can set up a power mode but the option is to turn off AOD or don't change. There is not an "always on" option here if your default is set to gesture only. Then, you cannot assign a power mode to the golf profile only to the running profile. All this means that you cannot have gesture only for golf and AOD for running. My head hurts
