Not shipping until late February?

I placed my Epix 2 white sapphire order on the 19th. Thought that would be early enough but they notified me it wont ship until february. Anyone who placed an order on the 19th had it ship yet? Trying to decide if I should cancel my order.

Update 1/31 from Garmin: won't ship until March or April.

    So I called Garmin this afternoon about my order because I noticed my bank was debited for my watch purchase yesterday but still no shipping.  They told me that my order status has gone from 7-10 days processing time to not shipping until March 11.  March 11??  I asked why then was I charged already if I won't get it until mid-March and she said it is because I paid with PayPal.  She offered to either cancel it or, hey, I can send you the slate one because we have those available.  Oh yea, send me a lesser watch for the same price. Rolling eyes So I guess I'll be waiting a long time.

    I ordered mine on Jan 18th (day of launch).  When I ordered it it said 1-2 weeks.  A couple of days later I got an email from Garmin stating that it wont ship until early Feb.  Now the site shows the white and black saphire both taking 5-8 weeks to process. It seems like they sold out what ever inventory they had and people placing orders now could wait up to 2 months. We shall see if my order actually ship in early Feb or I may get an update that it slipped, etc.

    I ordered on the 20th and my order status has always said, and it actually still says, "Estimated processing time: 7-10 days" and I have received no email from them.  I only called them because my bank account was debited so I figured it was shipping.  Nope.  It's because I paid with PayPal and they can charge right away if you pay that way, which I was unaware of or I never would have paid that way.  I should have ordered on the first day like I always have done.  I'm not mad that I have to wait, I'm just really mad that I had to pay for something that I won't get for almost 2 months.

    I also used Paypal and also noticed that it was paid out immediately. I guess thats how PP works.

    That sucks and I hope that they can ship it out sooner. I called today because my order was sitting in "Processing Time 1 - 3 Days" for about a week(since 19th). When I called, I just told them I was curious on the order because it's been sitting in the same state for awhile now and was concerned it went into backorder. She said she saw two dates on my order, one for Friday, the other for March 11th and she would reach out to her supervisor to see whats going on and she confirmed it is in a backordered state. I did get the email about an hour later, it said that she got approval to ship it out today and I will be receiving another email with some tracking info. I got the email and tracking info.   

    EDIT: I ordered the black titanium version.

    I ordered with Sportsshoes.com. It said pre-order for 28/02 but now says out of stock and unavailable for pre-order. I'm hoping I get it sooner than that!

    Wow, lucky you! I just tried the same tactic but it didn't work and they said it is on backorder. The good news is that they gave me an estimate of Feb 4 for shipping. I have to sell my current watch at the end of this week, so I think I can go another week or two without a watch and use the Strava app on my phone. Sucks that I will miss out on all my daily steps though. The rep did tell me she has checked status for a lot of people today and most of them have a March 11 estimated ship date.

    I can't recall a time in recent memory that a flagship watch got completely sold out on day 1 like this.

    But I guess I'm not too surprised, there were a LOT of eager and impatient people (like myself) chomping at the bit to get the next Fenix/epix.

    I would guess that once the initial flood of orders and backorders gets filled, inventories will build back up and new buyers will be able to find them easier. Might not be until April though!

    I've just received a text message saying mine will be delivered on the 27th Jan. Happy with that!!

    just curious which version you ordered. I ordered the white on Jan 18th. got an email that it will ship in early Feb. based on this discussion I just called them and now they say we'll ship on March 11th. ouch
