I was mildly disappointed that the Epix does not come with any of the fancy animated ("live") watch faces like the Venu 2 has built-in. Any plans to add these in future updates? Please?

And live data on the watch face like stress, body battery, etc. :-)
Same here. What is the point of spending a $1,000 and not a single watch face takes advantage of the screen’s capability. Even the colors on the stock faces are dull and muted because they are the same faces for Fenix. The screen was the single selling point for the Epix over the Fenix and Garmin has don’t nothing with it.
Waiting for the same...they need to add the iq5 compatibility and i hope they will do it sooner than later.
Loved the live heart rate on AOD on the Venu and that's the only thing that i'm missing with the Epix.
Yes, it would nice to hear some concrete info on this. So much underutilized potential.
I think we all know why: it comes down to battery. Animated watch faces would take away from the claimed battery life, so garmin doesn’t allow this to be an option.
Not saying it’s right or wrong, I’m a firm believer that the purchaser should be given the choice. But that 6 day AOD would probably get knocked down to 3-4 with live watch faces.
That explanation doesn't really hold up though, because they do have live watch faces on Venu 2 which has a much lower battery capacity. And they just state that the live watch faces reduce battery, and people make their own decisions, and it all works out pretty well.
Right, and I agree with you. The difference I believe is that the Venu 2 was released with the live watch faces which were already factored into the claimed battery life. The fact that garmin released the Epix without live watch faces and also claiming a 6 day, AOD battery life tells me that they feel the live watch faces would eat into the stated battery life. Again, I’m all for the consumer making that decision, just speculating as to why it didn’t happen.
You can select heart rate in all the Epix standard watch faces as data field. This is a live field which updates continuously. Is that what you are looking for?
In addition the first three watchfaces on the Epix are Epix specific and not available on any other watch.
True on battery. There is so much more they could do without live faces. Live faces are cool but I would take anything that is better than all the block number faces on CIQ. Doesn’t need to be a live face. At this point I would prefer something that just utilizes the contrast and colors of the OLED.
It's not updating continuously when the watch is in AOD mode and that's what i had on Venu 2 and what i'm waiting for the Epix.
I would like to have everything on the AOD watchface as i keep gesture off. The update every 60 seconds is a bit useless as many things can happen in 60 seconds...better than nothing but not what i'm looking for.
