View Epix 2 Software Update List?

Hi Folks - I'll get my Epix this morning. (Scored with a coupon for 20% off retail AND my company is reimbursing me for the whole cost!. I love my job!)

I hear many (all?) of the Epix 2 watches come with a very old software 6.20 version loaded when the watch was made a few weeks ago. Now there is a 7.20 update? Where can I see a list of what was changed/fixed/added? I've been searching forever to find this. All the older watches (e.g. 745) you can see a rolling list of updates and what was done with each version since it was originally released.

The release notes for 7.20 just say “Initial Release”.

The previous version will have been for testing prior to release. Expect to see change logs from the first update released beyond 7.20

Mine also came with 6.12. Datascreen edit with iOS app is not available as shown in many reviews…

Mine came with 6.12 and can't update.. It says software is up to date and no newer available.

My both watches, I returned the first one, came with 6.55 firmware

One major feature that I didn't have until the update to 7.20 was the ability to configure things like activity data fields from the phone. Other than that, I didn't see anything major. But then again, I did the update within a few minutes of getting the watch configured and added to my account.

My watch came also with a 6.12 version and Garmin Express didn't show me any updates.

However, on the watch itself I could navigate to System > Software Update where I was offered to update to 7.20. The update was only shown on the watch itself and nowhere else.

Maybe that helps for those looking to update.

This worked for me: Connect the Epix with Garmin Express und update the maps. Then release the watch from USB. Now the maps are reloaded and after this the watch offers the software version 7.2 for update.

I had the same experience. But I am not shure if it would provided 7.2 after a while anyway, since this happende the first hour during initial sync and setup.

Do you think firmware updates will be as frequent as with the fenix 7 series?
