Hello,
Anyone else noticed that the workout screen show current pace instead of step pace in the step pace field.
Secondly, running power is not shown in Garmin Connect ( yes I have the data field in Running profile )

Glenn

There may be a confusion over terms. I think lap pace and [average] step pace are generally being used interchangeably (a step and a lap are essentially the same I suppose). What seems to me to appear in…
I agree. The term step pace can only mean one thing, the average pace for the step. It does not display that however, it displays current pace. Current pace may be useful for some people, but it is not the…
This isn’t fixed in beta 9.22
with my Fenix 5x and 6x and 6S pro, when executing a structured run with pace zones, the workout screen will alert only on STEP PACE.
currently on the Epix, the pace…
Running power ? Natively ?
Have you a dynamic pod or an HRM pro ?
HRM Run and the GarminLabs Running Power data field.
Worked perfectly on the Fenix 6 Pro.

I had the Combo Running Power field on the workout, but no data.

Noticed the same today during the first workout with the new watch.
I assume OP means section pace, I guess the name and it's translation varies a bit depending on the language you're using the watch on.
But anyway the data field is supposed to show the overall pace for that particular lap / section of your workout, where as currently it's instead giving you your current pace.
Indeed, also tested again today.
Step pace is wrong.
About Running power, the "Runnning Power" field record in the fit file, the "Combo Running Power" field doesn't.
I was also thrown by the workout pace. It was step (or lap) pace on the 945 and I expected the same on the Epix but it’s clearly not. I also couldn’t equate the displayed pace to my instant pace either - unless I was running a lot faster than I realised between glances at the watch - but it couldn’t be anything else.
While I welcome the change of the step pace replaced by the current pace, I today found out what is annoying to me:
Pace alerts are now also for the current pace, not the step pace. And they are also rounded to the 5s increments like current pace. If your pace target is 5:07-5:19, it will alert you at 5:07 because that is 5:05 and at 5:18 because that is 5:20. your pace target (wich isn’t annoyingly alerted) shrinks.
