Backlight Keeps Turning On After Flashlight Activated

I have tried every setting that I can think of to remedy this.  But my backlight keeps turning on when I turn the flashlight on.  It's rather annoying and distracting at night or in the dark especially because you can still control the intensity via the side buttons.

Is this a bug?  If this is hard baked into the ROM, will you please address this in a future update?  I don't need two lights on.

    The "issue" is that you use the light button to turn on the flashlight which is designed to turn on the backlight. If you instead use a control to turn on the flashlight it will not turn on the backlight.

    A workaround is to press the light button 3 times to turn on the flashlight. First a double click to turn it on, a short pause and then one click more to turn off the backlight.

    Negative.  You're also able to setup shortcuts and that's exactly what I did - I setup a shortcut with another button.   should not have that issue.  I have also adjusted every setting for buttons and backloght, and the issue still persists.
