WiFi not connecting

The first problem is Garmin Connect on phone and Garmin Express on PC don't allow me to add a hidden network (where the SSID) isn't displayed - a pretty standard setting on many WiFi networks. So showing the SSID allowed me to connect, but once I hide it again the Enduro 3 is unable to connect to WiFi.

This is an extremely annoying lack of basic feature and settings. There should be the very fundamental option under "add network" to be able to select "connect even if network is not displaying/broadcasting".

Also, even though this setting didn't exist for my Fenix 6X and Fenix 5X either, they were both still able to connect to the same hidden WiFi network without any issues....

Please fix this Garmin.

You are correct, SSID cannot be hidden. This is included in the WiFi requirements:

    • 2.4 GHz band

    • 802.11 ac, ax, b, g & n (802.1x is not supported)

    • WPA / WPA2 security (WPA-Enterprise and WEP are not supported)

    • Channels 1-11 for North American devices, channels 1-13 for International devices

    • The SSID must be visible and not hidden

  • But my Fenix 6X and Fenix 5 could both connect no problem... Is there any chance that Garmin could fix this?

Even my 5-year-old washing machine has no problem connecting to a hidden SSID - surely the latest model of Garmin "smart"watch could do it, like the previous versions could?

  • Agreed.  Same problem on my Enduro 3.  Being able to connect to a hidden network has been a standard feature for Wi-Fi devices for over 15 years if not longer.  This is a basic thing that can and should be fixed ASAP or wifi is essentially useless on this expensive watch.  I am not going to compromise the security of my network because Garmin cant include basic wifi security connectivity.
