TopoActive Europe Map update via Wi-Fi.

Dear User,

I own a Garmin Enduro 3, from mid november, that I update via Wi-Fi for convenience; currently the installed software version is 12.35 and the Wi-Fi firmware version is 28.19.

On the watch, in the TopoActive Europe Maps section (whose details are 10.4 GB and version 2024.10) a notification appears that an update is available. A few weeks ago, with the watch USB-powered via a wall socket, a download began via Wi-Fi and after several hours it reached the 100% but it seems that nothing happened and from that moment the TopoActive Europe field remains on "queued".

Has the map been updated or not? Or maybe has the new one been downloaded, but not installed? (What version should the new one be?) How should I proceed?

How do I know if the map has been downloaded anyway? If so, is it taking up unnecessary space and how can I remove it before downloading the update via Garmin Express via pc…

Check in Express. There is a bug in the map manager.

Check in Express. There is a bug in the map manager.

The Fenix 7 has been unable to download maps for several months now. The download process completes, but then an error message appears, and the next time you try, the process starts from the beginning. Maybe the same issue.

I had similar issue with my Enduro 3, updated maps via Garmin Express from PC.

Express has it's own set of annoying bugs.

Open the /garmin folder on the watch on a computer and look for large .img files named like Dxxxxxx.img, you may have a couple, a dem one and the topo map for your area. Move them to computer or just delete and open garmin express and re-download the topo map you want
