Topoactive map doesn’t download but is still in download queue?

Hi there

Yesterday when I was charging my Enduro3 I suddenly saw it was downloading a new version the the Europe map.

the download took about 3! hours.

in the end it didn’t install the map, but it keeps saying it’s in the download queue.

I decided to simply delete the map and try downloading it again but now it keeps saying it’s in the download queue and doesn’t download at all. It’s in the charger and connected to WiFi.

I really need a map this weekend so is there any solution to download the map to my watch?

Yeah, wifi map download does not work at all! It always crashes the watch for me... not sure why is it event enabled if it's not working.

Yes. Use Garmin Express Desktop Software. Thats always the best way.

One remark: Really strange the Europe map is divided in three different maps in Garmin express, but not on the watch itself.

I didn’t download the Eastern Europe map yet, which on the watch it’s not even visible. So whenever I would travel to this part of Europe it’s not even possible to download it without a laptop. So so many stupid small software mistakes it’s driving me insane.

Has anyone solved this yet? I bought an Epix 2 in the xmas sales and I can't get europe map on it. Even garmin express fails. It looks like it's working but fails to complete the download. It's a pretty fundamental app on the device. I'm beginning to think it's a glitch and why they are on sale.

I just experienced the same problem with my enduro 2 today (5 February 2025).

I will try tomorrow with garmin express.

Managed to upload western Europe using express. Took three tries. Dont bother trying to do it direct to the watch.

thanks..i tried 4 times on a very good wifi network(took many many hours though)..and it did not work

nope..directly on the watch..my main issue is that i cant install garmin express because on my laptop i have windows 11 S (secured) and it only allows to install apps from microsoft store ..and garmin doesnt have apps available on microsoft store.. I hope that garmin will release a new software update to fix this major bug.. so we can all enjoy our expensive watches capabilities
