Enduro 3 - Very good.

Very happy with the Enduro 3 so far. A few minor bugs/software design issues. These are relatively minor for me and they are known and being worked on.

I upgraded from Fenix 6x Pro. I previously owned GPSMAP 61,64 and 66 hand helds, original Epix (Rectangular screen) and I currently have an inreach mini.

I use this watch primarily for tramping (Hiking) for recording a walk and navigating off track. I used it recently for a 9 hour 20km bush walk which included a 6km 700 descent through unmarked bush with a number of direction changes to follow ridges. I followed a course I had created and was able to navigate using the watch. It worked very well and the accuracy meant we did not miss important turns.

Overall I like using the watch. I have the local full topo map purchased from Garmin which I also ran on my 6x pro. Overall the E3 runs faster. It picks up satellites quicker and draws the map faster.

The E3 also sees the welcome return of a feature the hand held GPSs have and was last seen on the original Epix. That is the ability to display multiple courses on the map. Great if you have an alternative route you want to see.

A good upgrade.
