Do not believe marketing, do not believe influencers. There is some improvement, but almost negligible.

Whereever I tried to raise the question of why not Gorilla glass is available I saw no critical mass to join me. I mean only one or two guys agreed, but there were at least the same amount of people worshiping…

My other critique is related to the new fonts style of data fields of activities datascreen. Again the same observation: few people joined my argument, but the fan guys popped up immediately saying that the thin fonts are an improvement.

Anyway to replace my Enduro 1 I bought an Enduro 2 3 weeks ago, and not an Enduro 3 2 weeks ago. ;-)

Unfortunately, Garmin is a love brand for many people. This fact strongly affects many discussions.

I had the Fenix 6 with Gorilla Glass because I strongly dislike the reflection of sapphire, especially in situations where the watch is not in direct sunlight (e.g., walking or running in the forest, particularly in autumn, is a pain).

The Gorilla Glass version of the Enduro would definitely be something I would buy.

There are other brands that have sapphire with much better anti-reflective coating (reflections are almost the same as Garmin's Gorilla version of the watch). Unfortunately, Garmin is not one of them.

I tried a H9 glass screen protector on my E2, just as a test, and it decreased the level of reflection, but since the display of E2 is already misty w/o backlight the extra effect of protector was too much as regards visibility.

But on E3 where the full solar layer is missing the protectir sounds a viable solution.

Cheapest glass protector from aliexpress. Already saved my screen once when I scraped it on concrete while swimming. No deterioration in viewing experience. Picture with backlight off.
