Bluetooth gets wonky after ~10 minutes

I've really been enjoying my Enduro 3 overall. One thing I haven't seen mentioned anywhere is that with my gen2 AirPods, after about 10 minutes or so, the music starts to sound like its in a tunnel or drops out completely. If I pause it and give it a little bit and resume, it picks up just fine and the process repeats.

I'm guessing its maybe a memory leak or some sort of buffering issue? Just a hunch.

Enduro 3 + AirPods + Spotify + an activity + a little bit of time = crappy bluetooth.

Anyone else experiencing this?

  • Today Bluetooth disconnected twice. It is strange...

  • The latest beta v15.23 has the following in the changelog:

    "Fixed Airpods skipping music tracks"

I just installed it on my Enduro 3 but don't own Airpods so can't relate to the issue or test it myself...... at least light at the end of the tunnel is flickering for you Thumbsup

  • Thanks.

And for GPS inaccuracy? Is there a solution?

  • I'm not aware of that one.... my Enduro 3 always seems pretty accurate whenever I have checked the tracks after activities

  • I notice inaccuracy (sometimes 10 metres) in urban areas between tall buildings. There is a post and many users say it...F7pro Is more accurate.

  • I have the same issues with buffing out sound. No issues with same AirPods from 945. Can try pause and push play again but cycle continues.

  • Bro,   Garmin's software and or hardware is lame for music.  I went through 4 or 5 different pairs of BT headphones all of which cut out after about 5 or 10 minutes and continued to do so no matter what...   Garmin refuses to acknowledge this major flaw in some of their watches...

On the positive side of things,  I have some feedback for you.   I decided a month or so ago to bite the bullet and get some shokz open run pro 2 headphones and this totally eliminated the issue.     For whatever reason only a few brands of headphones actually work with the Enduro 3 or Fenix line.   I just don't understand how Garmin can charge so much and have this feature so weak...     My advice is to bite the bullet and get the shokz.  If you do,  you won't have any more issues.

  • I’ve had this Enduro 3 for a year now and still have the same issues using AirPods. Unacceptable. I really notice this problem when I’m walking after a run. Almost seems like the Bluetooth isn’t strong enough when my hands are down near my waist.

Never had this problem with my old Fenix 6

  • I’ve owned the Enduro 3 for about eight months now, and I can say without hesitation that the experience of trying to listen to music through this watch has been nothing short of maddening. The constant interruptions and audio drops made it impossible to enjoy, and it sent me down a ridiculous rabbit hole of buying four or five different brands of Bluetooth headphones—every single one of them failing in the exact same way. That’s when it became crystal clear: the problem is the Enduro 3, not the headphones.

The one exception I’ve found are the Shokz OpenRun Pro 2’s, which actually work very well—but let’s be honest, they’re expensive, and customers shouldn’t be forced into buying a premium pair of headphones just to compensate for Garmin’s flaws.

What makes this worse is Garmin’s response. Their support has been dismissive at best, utterly useless at worst. Suggesting I “just wear the watch on the other wrist” is not a solution—it’s laughable, insulting, and does nothing to address the underlying problem. For a premium product at this price point, I find Garmin’s refusal to acknowledge or meaningfully address the issue completely unacceptable.

  • I’ve worn the watch on other wrist too. Same thing. Good job finding an alternate fix for you, but it shouldn’t be the solution like you mentioned.
